Colorless Collar

At some point, the terms "blue-collar" and "white-collar" emerged as general classifications for occupations.
Blue-collar workers were defined as those directly involved in production (manual laborers in construction, manufacturing, etc.), while white-collar workers were those in non-production roles (intellectual laborers in office work, research, etc.).
Beyond these, other classifications include "pink-collar" for jobs predominantly held by women, such as childcare and housekeepers; "green-collar" for environmental jobs; "gold-collar" for entrepreneurs and consultants; and "gray-collar" for managers, indicating a mix of blue and white.

The term originated in 1924 when the Alden Times newspaper in Iowa, USA, suggested, "If office workers are called white-collar, then manual laborers may well be called blue-collar."
The reason for the linguistic coining of "blue-collar" (blue collar) is that denim and chambray, the source of the term, were commonly used as workwear because dirt was less noticeable on them.
One hundred years later, in 2025, a world where diverse and unconventional working styles and lifestyles are commonplace has arrived.

WANSIE creates products inspired by the history of all workwear and functional clothing, offering them as special everyday uniforms.
We re-interpret iconic workwear and functional clothing items from the past century with a contemporary perspective, proposing them as special everyday uniforms by crossing over categorized items.
With diverse meanings of not being separated by occupation or community, the concept for the 2025 Spring/Summer collection is "Colorless Collar."
