2-WAY SASHIKO DENIM JACKET

This is an original G-jean type jacket made in Okayama Prefecture, known as the mecca of denim.
It is lavishly made from Japanese sashiko denim fabric, allowing you to enjoy its changing silhouette. 
Inspired by Levi's G-jean second type, it features a shorter length, and a wide silhouette with dropped shoulders to create a modern balance. 
In addition to the usual rivet button closure, you can also tie the side strings to wear it overlapping like a samue (monk's work clothing). 
While subtly evoking a "Japanese" feel, the V-neck designcreates a well-balanced mixed style. 

Sashiko fabric is traditional and timeless, rooted in Japanese culture, used as protective clothing for firefighters in ancient times and still used today in judo and kendo.
Both the unbleached (kinari) and black versions will develop a richer texture and color with wear.
