William Morris wondered.
Is work merely a duty?
Doesn't creating beautiful things enrich life?
What he sought was craftsmanship where function and beauty coexist.
In the era of the Industrial Revolution, he attempted to restore the value created by human hands.
The Arts and Crafts movement aimed not merely at a revival of ornamentation,
but at restoring the dignity of labor itself.
For him, workwear and uniforms were not merely practical garments.
Precisely because they are made for people who live and work every day,
he believed that not only functionality but also beauty and philosophy should reside within them.
"It is not enough to make useful things. They must also be beautiful."
This season, WANSIE inherits that philosophy, leveraging the practicality of workwear, and proposes a new balance by focusing on meticulous details and material selection. We incorporate functional materials and details into classic workwear, allowing soft textures and hard structures to coexist.
"Grace in Labor" is our season concept.
